Purpose of the Programs
Customer Sock Donations
The purpose of the Customer Sock Donations program by SammySocks Etc. is to provide a way for customers to purchase socks from SammySocks Etc. and have them donated to the Hope Alliance of Round Rock, Texas. The Hope Alliance of Round Rock, Texas is a resource center and emergency shelter for those affected by family and sexual violence. We do not send the donation socks to you, the customer. We donate the socks to the Hope Alliance of Round Rock, Texas.
This Customer Sock Donations program allows customers an opportunity to purchase designated socks at the wholesale cost to us and then have us donate them to the Hope Alliance. We charge Texas sales tax on these items. We also charge any out of state sales tax, if applicable, on these items. We do not send the donation socks to the customer. We give them directly to the Hope Alliance. The socks designated for our Customer Sock Donations program are:
Men’s Classic Casual Assorted Patterns Crew Socks – Cost of the pair of socks for the Customer = $1.00
Women’s Music Crew Socks – Cost of the pair of socks for the Customer = $1.00
For example, a customer wants to purchase and then donate five pairs of socks that we offer through this program to the Hope Alliance. Each pair of socks has a wholesale price of $1.00. The customer puts five pairs of this sock into their shopping cart. If this is the entire order, we do not charge shipping. The total price charged to the customer would be $1.00 per pair of socks x 5 pairs of socks = $5.00 + Texas sales tax of $0.42 ($5.00 x 8.25%) = $5.42.
If a customer would like to include socks from this donation program with their regular order of socks for themselves or someone else, then there would be shipping charged on the regular order of socks but not the donated socks. For example, a customer wants to purchase and then donate five pairs of socks that we offer through this program to the Hope Alliance and purchase two pairs of socks for themselves. Each pair of the donated socks has a wholesale price of $1.00. Each pair of the customer’s socks has a retail price on our website of $12.99. The customer puts five pairs of the donated socks into their shopping cart and two pairs of socks for themselves into their cart. The price charged to the customer for the donated socks would be $1.00 per pair x 5 pairs of socks = $5.00 + Texas sales tax of $0.42 ($5.00 x 8.25%) = $5.42. The price charged to the customer for their own socks would be $12.99 per pair x 2 pairs of socks including $4.99 for shipping = $30.97 + Texas sales tax of $2.56 ($30.97 x 8.25%) = $33.53. Together, the price for the entire order (donated socks and customer socks) is $38.95.

In a nutshell, your organization decides to have a Sock Donation Drive. You decide to use the Sock Donation Drive Program of SammySocks Etc. We give your organization a unique Sock Donation Drive Code for your supporters to use on our website. You share the code with your supporters. When your supporters visit our website and order “Sock Donation Drive Socks” for your donation drive, they will receive a FREE pair of socks. The code can be used an unlimited number of times during the length of the program. Each customer can use the code an unlimited number of times during the length of the program. No other code can be used when applying your Sock Donation Drive Code. The code is valid only during your organization’s Sock Donation Drive program. If your program runs from October 1 – October 14, the code must be used during those days. Enter your code in the “Special Note to Seller” box on your Cart page. Your organization has no upfront expenses.

Here are the purchase options available to the supporters (customers) of your organization when they go to our website if your organization uses SammySocks Etc. for your Sock Donation Drive.
Option 1: Customer Buys: Sock Donation Drive socks only - The customer will receive a FREE pair of socks when they enter the Sock Donation Drive code in the "Special Note to the Seller" on the Cart page.
Option 2: Customer Buys: Sock Donation Drive socks and other products (socks &/or bracelets) - The customer will receive a FREE pair of socks when they enter the Sock Donation Drive code in the "Special Note to the Seller" on the Cart page.
Option 3: Customer Buys: No Sock Donation Drive socks - only other products (socks &/or bracelets) - The customer will not receive a FREE pair of socks.
