            This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from sammysocksetc.com (the “Site”). 

What personal information does SammySocks Etc. collect?

            When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information. 

How do we use your personal information?

            We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

            - Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and 
            - When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

            Google signed-in users who have consented to this association for the purpose of ads personalization.

            This anonymized Google information may include end user location, search history, YouTube history, and data from sites that partner with Google. This may be accessed and/or deleted by end users via My Activity. https://myactivity.google.com/myactivity

The Seals Subscription App

     We use the Seals Subscription app for our sock, coffee, and tea subscriptions. This subscription app collects, uses, and stores data when a customer makes a subscription purchase. We collect some information about this order and personal information about the customer to provide the Service (Seals Subscription App). Sensitive personal data is always encrypted in our database, using the Advanced Encryption Standard algorithm.

  • We collect customer's name, email address, shipping address, billing address. We require this information to provide the Service.
  • For subscriptions with an active automatic charging functionality, we also collect the last four numbers of the payment card, expiration date of the payment card and the payment card type. We never collect nor save the complete payment card details.
    We require this information to provide the Service.
  • When a customer browses the shop, we might collect their network information, such as IP address, time of the visit and other network information for the purpose of providing the Service.
  • We may also use personal information for other cases if you have given us your permission to do so.

Data Storage & Data Security with the Seals Subscription App

     The data collected is stored on secure servers, located in Toronto, Canada.

     Sensitive personal information is encrypted with AES algorithms and access to the data is restricted.

     The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Data Retention with the Seals Subscription App

     Any personal data we might receive for the purpose of providing the Service will be deleted 7 days after the merchant stops using the Service and uninstalls the app, unless we have to keep it longer for business purposes.

     The customer's data is automatically deleted if we receive an automated request from Shopify to delete data about a specific customer. We also automatically delete subscriptions and all data associated with them if we receive a request from Shopify to delete data related to specific orders.

     The customer's data related to cancelled subscriptions is automatically deleted 7 days after cancellation, if the merchant turns on the option to automatically delete cancelled subscriptions.

Cookies with the Seals Subscription App

     We use some cookies to provide the Service.

  • We may use session cookie to identify the merchant when accessing the administration pages.
  • We may use security cookies for security purposes of the service.
  • We may use preference cookies to remember your preferences and various settings when using the Service.

            Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

            You have the right to request access to the personal data that we store about you.  You have the right to at any time to oppose our processing of your personal data for any and ask us to not send you any more emails.             Please note that at this time, SammySocks Etc. only ships to locations with street mailing addresses in each of the fifty states in the United States of America. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes. At this time, we do not ship internationally. We ship all orders from Hutto, Texas.

            When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
