SammySocks Etc. – After the Passing of Samuel

SammySocks Etc. – After the Passing of Samuel

Samuel, the Sammy of SammySocks Etc., passed away on February 9, 2024. He was just 12 days into his 26th year. He died of melanoma – skin cancer. It came up fast and was very aggressive. Please have your loved ones screened for skin cancer. It could be a life-saving event.

After Samuel’s passing, Sally (Samuel’s mom) and I decided to close SammySocks Etc. We had started the business to help Samuel become independent, help with his support, and employ other adults with differing abilities. Samuel is no longer with us. He needs no more help and support.  But there are many other adults with differing abilities like Samuel who do. After prayerful consideration, we have decided to keep SammySocks Etc. open. We can help other adults with differing abilities. So, SammySocks Etc. is still here.

We offer socks and a special line of jewelry: Celebrate Sammy! bracelets. These bracelets are a celebration of Sammy’s life. The bracelets are colorful, gold and silver bracelets that come in 7 or 8 inch lengths. Colorful glass, resin, and/or plastic beads adorn each bracelet. Lobster claws and chain extensions round out each bracelet. These bracelets are similar to the ones Samuel helped create at United Partners of Pflugerville. Samuel was a partner there. SammySocks Etc. donates 5% of its earnings to United Partners of Pflugerville.

We are having a special “Back-to-School” sale from now until September 3, 2024. When you shop at SammySocks Etc., you will automatically receive a 25% discount on all socks and bracelets.

I can’t use the type of socks you have (need very cushioned but non binding socks) but I will continue to purchase FARA coffee if it is available.
    I miss Sammy’s comments.
