It's Hard Not to Want Everything to Be Perfect

SammySocks Etc. Blog - Comments and Observations from Someone Who Is a Retired Educator and Sammy’s Dad
Hi! Samuel (the Sammy of SammySocks Etc.) has many different behaviors. He has a set routine each day and struggles when that schedule changes either out of necessity or something just happens to disrupt it. He wants his schedule to be “perfect” as to his wants and needs. Samuel stresses when it is not.
We try to have him get used to change and what to do when unexpected events impinge on his routine. Stop, take deep breaths, envision what is going to happen, and go with the flow. Sometimes it all helps and, more often, it doesn’t.
We all want things to go the way we plan. We want everything to be “perfect”. When things do not go as planned, we can try to follow the same things we tell Samuel to do. We can stop, take deep breaths, envision what is going to happen, and go with the flow. Maybe it will all help.
Go ahead. Plan your days, weeks, and years. But be prepared for things not to go as planned. The “perfect” may not happen. Accept that and try to be happy in the moment with whatever is happening.
What can be “perfect” and what you can control, is the sock selection you make from SammySocks Etc. Today is Sunday’s part of our Black Friday / Cyber Monday event at SammySocks Etc. Visit us at www.sammysocksetc.com for a great selection of socks for children, women, and men. Take control of your socks!
Thank you.
