There are no excuses that anyone can think of that will work for not getting your significant other a Valentine’s Day (or any other) gift. None. Not a single one. Oh, you may try. You may wrack your brain thinking of one and convince yourself that it is a good one and he or she will completely understand. But you would be wrong. Here are some that I have heard were tried but, of course, failed miserably.
+ I could not find anything good enough for you.
+ I got you something but now I can’t find it.
+ Everything I saw I have already given you.
+ Your mother said that you do not like material things.
+ They didn’t have your size (or color or style or whatever).
+ You said not to get you anything.
+ My friends aren’t getting their significant others anything.
+ I didn’t want you to feel that you had to get me something back.
+ I didn’t want to embarrass you.
+ Whaaaaaaat?
Trust me, these do not work. I, uh…… read that somewhere. Yeah, that’s it. These happened to someone else.
