September 2025
Our Message
1. Doctors Without Borders was started in 1971 by a group of doctors and journalists in response to war and famine in Nigeria. They wanted to create an independent organization that’s main purposes was to deliver emergency medical and humanitarian aid to those in need quickly and impartially. This organization has grown to thousands of staff and volunteers that come to the aid of people around the world.
2. The Trump administration has cut or plans to cut billions of dollars of funding for programs that have been designed to help vulnerable people the world over. This has put a great strain on humanitarian organizations such as Doctors Without Borders.
3. The Trump administration has cut off funds and eliminated programs that have provided food, water, and shelter around the world. These cuts have adversely affected the work of Doctors Without Borders.
4. Trump’s policies have created a much more difficult and dangerous environment for humanitarian organizations such as Doctors Without Borders.
